BIOGRAPHY OF THE REGISTRAR

THE INITIATOR – ABDULFATAI OYEYEMI LAWAL

He was born 25^th August, 1957 at Offa in Offa Local Government Area of Kwara state and happily married with children.

Educational Background

He started his primary Education at Iyeru Okin Primary School, Offa in 1963 and later attended Baptist Primary School, Ilaro (Ogun State) 1965 to 1970. He joined St. Marks Cathedral Primary School, Offa 1971 to 1973 as sacrifice for his desire to gain admission into Offa Grammar School, Offa. He attended ,Offa Grammar School, Offa from 1973 to 1978 and Kwara State College of Technology, Ilorin (now Kwara Poly) from 1978 – 1982 where he obtained Higher National Diploma (HND) in Statistics. He later obtained Masters of Business Administration at University of Ado–Ekiti in the year 2000.

Working Experience

1. Participated in the national youth scheme as lecturer at federal office statistic training school, Ibadan-1982 to 1983.
2. He worked ,with Kwara State Schools Management Board as a, teacher, 1983 to 1985
3. He also worked with Commervents Nigeria Ltd, Lagos as Commercial Manager, 1985 to 1990.
4. He later joined Kano State Civil Service Commission as a Mathematics teacher at Kano teachers college, Kano on contract from 1990 to 1992.
5. Following was his employment as Store – keeper at Yassin Confectionery Company L.t.d; Kano from 1992 to 1996.
6. He had his Consultancy tutelage under Olusola Adekanola & Co. a firm of Chartered Accountant & Tax Practitioners that introduced and pioneered “Accelerated Revenue Generation Program” in Nigeria from December, 1996 to February, 2001. While under Olusola Adekanola & Co., he held the following positions:
   1. Member, Tax Audit Team 1997
   2. Assistant Manager Enumeration 1997 – 1998
   3. Resident Consultant to Kano State ,Environment Planning & Protection ,Agency and Ministry of Agriculture & Natural Resources, Kano State 1998 – 1999
   4. Resident Consult at Lagos State Motor Licensing Central Security ,Store, Alausa, Ikeja – Lagos, from 2000 to 2001.
7. In the year 2001, he became a senior Consultant at Jobak Konsult, Offa, a financial and Industrial Management Consultancy firm.
8. Following was the establishment of Rafwarz & Innovative Management Consultants (a firm of Chartered Marketers, Managers & Tax Practitioners) and became its Principal Consultant since its establishment is 2002.

Under his leadership, the firm had been Management Consultant to NACRDB Ltd Offa on feasibility study and Revenue Consultants to Local Governments, Such as:

1. Offa Local Government Authority k2003 to date.
2. Ilorin East Local Government Authority 2004.
3. Ilorin South Local Government, Authority 2004.
4. Ifelodun Local Government Authority 2004.

Contribution to Professional Development

1. He was a Co-founder and first secretary, Mathematics Club, Offa Grammar School, Offa 1977-1978.
2. A Co-founder and first publicity secretary of Statistics Students Association, Kwara State college of technology, (Now Kwara Poly), Ilorin 1981-1982.
3. He initiated the resuscitation of Nigerian Institute of Management, Offa Branch in the year 2001. He eventually became the secretary of the only branch of the institute in Kwara state from 2001-2005.
4. He co-founded Kwara State District of chartered institute of Marketing of Nigeria, now, now National Institute of Marketing of Nigeria in 2006.
5. He initiated the founding of Institute for Operations Research of Nigeria in the year 2004 and became its Registrar/Chief Executive in the year 2006.

Political/Social Activities

1. Youth Leader - Unity Party of Nigeria, Offa Local Government Area in Kwara State of Nigeria ( l1982 – 1984)
2. Publicity Secretary – National Republican Convention, Offa Local Government Area in Kwara State of Nigeria (1990)
3. Youth State representative – All Nigerian People’s Party, Offa Local Government Area in Kwara State of Nigeria (2002).
4. Chairman candidate nomination screening committee – All Nigerian People’s Party, Ojomu Central “A” ward, Offa (2003).
5. Secretary, Youth Reconciliation committee – All Nigerian People’s Party, Offa Local Government Area in Kwara State of Nigeria (2003).
6. Initiator of Summer School and President, Olalomi Youth Club, Offa in Kwara State of Nigeria (1979).
